Redefining Therapy for a Complex World

The NeoSystemic Framework: A grounded, ethical, and inclusive response to today’s evolving relational realities.

Who We Are

A School Rooted in Humility, Complexity, and Cultural Presence

The Relational School is not just an institution. It’s a space of ethical transformation, where therapists, supervisors, and relational professionals come together to embrace diversity, complexity, and continuous change.

We are grounded in the NeoSystemic Framework—a lens that goes beyond technique to reclaim the human, cultural, and systemic richness of therapy. We don’t multiply models. We integrate wisdom, relational ethics, and contextual knowledge to meet the realities of today’s clients and therapists.

Why This Matters Now

In a world marked by migration, plural identities, digital disruption, and global grief—therapy must evolve. The NeoSystemic Framework is born from this urgency: To move beyond rigid models and cultivate a way of practicing that is context-sensitive, ethically alert, and relationally alive.

This is not a new theory to master. It’s a new way of being present.

What Is the NeoSystemic Framework?

The NeoSystemic Framework integrates timeless systemic ideas with the demands of modern cultural diversity, offering a respectful, adaptable, and inclusive approach to therapy and supervision.

Embraces cultural diversity

not as an add-on, but as a starting point for practice.

Holds complexity and change

as constant companions in every relational process.

Honors collaborative meaning-making

over diagnostic certainty.

Sees the therapist as an evolving participant,

not a neutral expert.

The NeoSystemic Framework is not just about solving problems—it’s about understanding systems, building ethical presence, and transforming how we connect.

Therapy is not a protocol. It is a relationship held in complexity, culture, and evolving truth.

I'm Nelliana Acuna, LMFT-S

Author of the NeoSystemic Framework
“When no model could hold all of who I was—I created a space that could."

While becoming a therapist, I was also a daughter, a migrant, a wife, a mother, a student—and a constant witness to the tension between worlds. I was born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Venezuela, and trained across Venezuela, Spain, and the United States.

Today, I practice and teach in the U.S., but I carry within me the relational codes, linguistic nuances, and embodied truths of multiple cultures. The NeoSystemic lens is my response—theoretical, ethical, and practical—to the world I have inhabited, both personally and professionally.
